Microsoft is the most satanic software out there. I'm fairly certain they make it bad on purpose. Because billion dollar companies simply cannot fail that hard on repeat for decades. My theory is that it's "Microsoft marketing". You make a thing bad enough so that people complain about it a lot to coworkers and friends. Then the nostalgia effect will make it so people basically only remember the brand name. When it's time to spend money.
It's just so weird that so many billion dollar companies put out so shitty software products. When it comes to physical products of course they make them shit to save money. However with software I think it's deliberate.

It's not nearly as hard to learn as you would think. The hard part is deciding on a distro!

I know it's not. But my health makes it near impossible to maintain concentration to learn anything for more than a few minutes at a time. Plus added memory issues.

Then go with Mint Cinnamon. The interface design is roughly similar to Windows, so it's very approachable to Windows users.

I won't use it due to all the spying that can't be turned off and the complete lack of security, but Debian and Ubuntu are getting just as bad.

If true, that's awesome. I don't use Mac or Windows either.
