"Simple" to a normal person: has an easy to understand graphical interface.

"Simple" to a not so normal person: here, memorize all these parameters to type in the command line.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or anything but Xsct tool is really simple, there is barely any parameters to memorize. The make the display look warm, just run './xsct 3000' and you're good to go. When you want to reset it, just run './xsct 0' and the display will reset to default state. It's that simple. There are some optional parameters for some extra features but you'll likely not need those. Unlike redshift, Xsct doesn't contain that bullshit feature that changes temperature on display by checking your location. That location "feature" requires some weird configuration and barely works. The source code of Xsct is also simpler, consists of few hundred lines of code unlike redshift which is few thousand lines of code.

It was supposed to be humorous, but I'm pointing at how that word means vastly different things to different audiences. To the metaphorical man on the street, simple means a friendly and approachable system. What will come to his mind, I assure you, is not a command line.

I understand, I would't expect normies to easily use such tools. Anyways, have a nice day :)
