Xsct is a UNIX tool which allows you to set the color temperature of your screen. It is simpler than Redshift and f.lux.

It was supposed to be humorous, but I'm pointing at how that word means vastly different things to different audiences. To the metaphorical man on the street, simple means a friendly and approachable system. What will come to his mind, I assure you, is not a command line.
