Azure offers both windows-based and linux-based instances for app services. The linux instances run ubuntu. Oh the absolute horror of a company using their blog to detail the cost of services that they're involved with. I swear every single article I've ever seen on the linked site is either completely misunderstanding a situation or toeing the line of schizophrenic paranoia.

It was not a well written article. Many of the allegations against Microsoft were ambiguous, such as specifically what the author considers spyware or why they consider a MS product spyware.

I didn't read the article, but I always laugh when X reason is putting of users from linux. No, linux already puts of users by being completely not user friendly beyond "Here is web browser, internet go"

    No, "big tech" absolutely loves Linux. It powers their clouds and all their IoT gear and most of their locked down consumer appliances they manufacture. What they hate, is the idea of passing the freedoms down to the end users that they themselves enjoy while building their products. That's why the boot loader on the Samdung phone is permanently locked, that's why online video delivery services will work on Chrome OS or Android but not Ubuntu, etc etc.
