Good quote, but... https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Margaret_Mead#Disputed .

This one popped out for me. I haven't checked any other quotes in /s/Life. More quotes that you might imagine are great but misattributed. Complain about Wikipedia, etc as you like (well warranted), but Wikiquote.org cleaned up their act a while back and it is my first and second stops ("Discussion" pages are full of further information), and I'll even add a thing or few. I recommend doing likewise.

I have done background checks on all the previous quotes posted here; feel feel to check them yourself if you like (I've even corrected a few to their proper authors/wording). This one, I admittedly didn't - I did a google search after coming across it and saw it was verified on goodreads, (which are often good with their quotes, a lot of quotes that are often misattributed to plato they have covered, for example) so I assumed it was accurate.

But I will remove it in keeping with faith of the rule of attributing a quote with its proper author.

Aw. I didn't mean for it to be removed.

I just had more that a hunch about that quote, great by whomever, and thought it as good a time as any to mention my "values" on quotes, especially since you're doing so many. (All great work - and with images!!!) This is not the first time GoodReads, while good, has been in error, sadly. Without citations I remain skeptical.

Viva Frei, law vlogger, ends all his videos with great quotes (some misattributed) and I wish he would consider revising his methods just a bit, being a man of the law, and Canadian.
