And the people stayed home. And they read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And they listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently.

And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.

And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live, and they healed the earth fully, as they had been healed.

The masses of sheeple are really just gonna Netflix (the propaganda) and chill (make babies) and stress more than ever about making the bills and corporate mass media news they're now forced to consume.

Also, read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_in_the_Time_of_Cholera. It's not bad, but was over hyped to me when an ex-GF gifted it to me 25 years ago. The movie adaptation completely missed the point and was a dismal fail.

We need some of that, otherwise the bleak scenario is guaranteed. Some of us are willing to hold and help midwife a different scenario.

Love in the Time of Cholera was very good, but imo 100 Years of Solitude is his absolute masterpiece.

I agree with you completely. I think what you've quoted is already happening, this is from /u/EndlessSunflowers on the front page

I've even seen many other people, on the internet in general, post memes about similar and different realizations about themselves and their lives due to the effects of this quarantine and the "me-time" it has allowed them to have.

Also, it may just be me, but it's very interesting and coincidental how all of the politicians and celebrities around the world are getting COVID-19 and are displaying harsh-looking symptoms.. The probability of that should be low, both them getting sick and displaying harsh/physically apparent symptoms, like Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel in their self-quarantine videos among others, as well as politicians.. I wonder what's up with that.. With their money, power, knowledge and resources, they should be the safest ones. But it seems more and more are infected every day.

I said that too. Tom Hanks & wife looked like they were practice for make up artists - yet I haven't seen any authentic victim images pushed, much less anything similar.

Worst thing, I can't even point that out on Facebook. I give up there. I posted 3 things (out of 10 in the last 10 or so years) and have some likes but also some vocal rejections of my conspiracy theories (actually just skepticism) - and even lost friends (who? they don't say) so I'm down to 460 Facebook friends. So - I'm going to stop posting on Facebook, because I always want that emergency connection backup network (and eventually when I finish my story I hope to push it on them).

Aw shieeet, I'm so speechless you just found a Depeche Mode mode song for the Pandomic Playlist that I haven't heard! I love Depeche Mode!! When I was first getting into new-wave like Gary Numan, Soft Cell, New Order and even The Cure (if you wanna put them in the same category..), I binged Depeche Mode heavy.

I'm never without hope, but it can be whittled away.

IMO, we need to redirect people from the propaganda "bleak scenario" to the authentic anti-authoritarian "bleak scenario" along with the idea that authentic anti-authoritarian solutions can actually hold the authentic one at bay (for example, no censorship, freedom of movement, etc).

I dunno. I've been a hermit for a dozen years and it's not so bad.
