The COVID-19/coronavirus pandemic has become the menacing catalyst for panic, hysteria, confusion and uncertainty.

It has become readily apparent that our national infrastructure is incapable of handling a national health crisis. The economy has suffered. The retail pipeline is strained. Our medical capabilities are stressed to the point of near collapse.

During these troubling times, there are those who look to the stars for answers and guidance.

The Atlas Comet may be become visible to the naked eye in May. The comet is designated C/2019 Y4. If you use a bit of imagination, the comet’s designation comes close to reading COVID-19. I can just see “cult mania” exploding over this bizarre “coincidence.”

Comet Hale-Bob gave us the Heaven’s Gate tragedy. Given the current circumstances, the confusion and uncertainty generated by this virus, God only knows what tragic episode C/2019 Y4 (Atlas) would bring us.

Maybe something to ponder.
