Honestly I'm mostly tired of this: "I'm tired of my sexuality being treated like a fashion trend or a fandom."

Even my old safe spaces from the rest of the world aren't safe anymore due to these people

All the people talking about wanting queer representation, a lot of them just fetishise lesbians, bis and gay men and aren't actually being represented.

For example, I don't give a shit if a movie doesn't have a gay relationship, I understand I'm in the minority, and I'd rather have no representation than poor or harmful representation (i.e. lesbians having to be with trans women, lesbian stories just being about being in the closet or lying about being straight, predatory lesbians etc.).

For now, we need to buckle down and endure the wave of bullshit coming our way, but as the saying goes, this too shall pass. I know it's difficult, but things can only go up from here.

If life has taught me something, it that there is no limit on how bad things can go

This comment did not make me feel hopeful but it did make me laugh, so thank you for that.

Well, for positive comment go somewhere else. I'm sarcastic but very pessimistic too :D

The real question is, "Is there anyone who's not tired?"

I feel you. Rn unfortunately the only places we can be ourselves are places like this that are specifically for exclusively same-sex attracted women, away from the inclusive "lesbian" and alphabet soup spaces. Lesbophobia has always been a thing, it's just that now it's being painted as "progressive" because lesbianism is "transphobic" now. Hopefully things will get better when trans ideology loses its popularity (which I think it will eventually).

Yes. I relate to all of that.

I think we are all tired of this. You can be you here. At least for a little while.

Me. I'm tired of the whole alphabet soup thing. I'm sick to death of seeing some teary celebrity announce their newly discovered non-binary/trans/some sort of queerness! Folks who don't have a clue what it's like to be actually gay or lesbian or to have been positively terrified at some point (rightly) to come out of the closet.

Yeah, I feel ya. Honestly, distancing myself from the super woke side of the lgbt community has done wonders for my sanity.
