Why do these bisexual women love to overcomplicate things. Get a hobby

Sounds like they are a bisexual trying to make the lesbian label harder for others. Why do they like taking the label? Ugh!

I'm so sick of women like this. Jumping through every mental hoop they can find in order to avoid identifying correctly. Their logic makes no sense. " I don't want to call myself bisexual, or be seen as bisexual.....but let me go out and openly fuck every other guy I come across heehee!"

And when you call them out on it they break down into hysterics and act like you're worse than a Nazi. They have made it nearly impossible to find other lesbians to connect with both romantically and platonically. You have to sift through so much garbage.

Interesting how its never the other way around. You never see lesbians saying "I'm bi but I don't like men".

Feel bad for her, hypersexuality is usually a sign of trauma or severe mental illness. She needs to get help and then figure out what her sexuality actually is.

because she's a woman? Or does that apply to men too?

Being a man counts as a severe mental illness imo

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird to assume that she has trauma or severe mental illness just cause she has a high sex drive? I've never seen anyone say that about men with high libidos

Cool it with this. First of all, I think this is actually a dude based on the language used. They say they suffer from mania and hypersexuality. That does indicate mental illness, and not just a high sex drive within ordinary healthy boundaries. And it looks like they have and are aware of having bipolar disorder or some other mental health disorder, based on using that terminology.

One of my best friends has bipolar disorder and it has been really difficult watching her go through it because her family doesn't believe in medication or going to doctors for mental health conditions. They don't want her to take any medication that would interfere with her fertility. Anyway, one of the signs she's slipping into mania is when she starts acting weird, aggressive, and sexualized toward me. She is normally a very private, mild-mannered, and sweet strictly heterosexual person. But she will start asking me about attraction to women a lot. What it feels like, who I'm attracted to. And then she'll say something like how she thinks she's into women now too. But everything she describes is really, really off. It's not bisexuality. She's straight. And these are symptoms of a disorder. Meanwhile she's going out and having unprotected sex with men she barely knows due to hypersexuality.

So yea, this is mental illness by the OP's own words, and it can be quite serious. And I believe my friend's bipolar disorder was induced by trauma inflicted on her by her controlling and abusive parents. Trauma is very common.

Lesbianese said that hypersexuality is usually a sign of trauma or severe mental illness. I asked if that only applies to women, because I've never seen anyone say that about hypersexual men. I was speaking in general terms and not just referring the person in this post, so her mania is irrelevant.

Hypersexuality is a medical term and yes it is a sign of a mental disorder in men too. I know a man with hypersexuality as a symptom of his mental disorder. And hypersexuality is not just a high sex drive. It's about a compulsion to engage in certain sexual behavior, especially risky sexual behavior or in inappropriate places or times. It's a symptom of a disorder when it interferes with their ability to live their life.

Edit: For examples of men who clearly have some kind of hypersexuality component to what is likely histrionic personality disorder (or something similar), I refer you to Joe Exotic of Tiger King fame and Jonathan "Jessica" Yaniv, who lives in my nightmares.

Thank you, that's all I asked. Third time's the charm I guess

Sorry for not replying. Saidit app doesn't tell me when I get new replies, have to check manually. Yeah, it's concerning even in men, don't think men are meant to be obsessed (and I mean that in a clinical sense, like OCD obsessed) with sex.

But let's be real. No one is going to tell a man that he must have trauma because he's compulsive about sex lol

[–]yousaythosethings 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I’m doing that right now. And the solution isn’t to pretend like it’s not there in women, but to call a spade a spade with men too. I think the problem is that a lot of people have trouble seeing the effects of trauma when the effects are less emotional. And I do believe due to hormones and socialization at least, that women do tend to be more outwardly emotive so the symptoms are easier to recognize. In reality, we need to expand our understanding about what the effects of trauma look like.

Edit: The reason I'm coming across strong here is because I see this widespread attitude that certain mental health conditions are over-diagnosed in women when I have not seen evidence that that's the case. I've just seen that they need to be more properly identified in men. I meet so many women who are obviously dealing with something difficult and often textbook and they have no idea. And I think about how I've basically lost one of by best friends because of her families unwillingness to recognize her obvious textbook mental illness. I've also seen this attitude used to defend the porn industry when it preys on traumatized women.

is this person even female?

[–][deleted] 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

They're male. The same person was posting about being happy with his penis on a thread linked on lgbdropthet.

wtf?? so he's just some guy role-playing as his own "lesbian" OC. I thought he sounded convincing cause I've seen a lot of crazy women who type like that.

Yeah, I know a woman IRL who sounds and writes like this person; even the "girl is so good" tag sounds like her. But they are correct that this particular one is male.
