I woke up to sleep paralysis one day, I didn't realize it when I woke up, but I swear to god I heard my door open and foot steps coming across my room. This malevolent presence leaned onto my bed. I felt the bed depress behind me, like their fists were inches from me and they were putting all their weight on the bed. I could hear them breathing in my ear and hovering over my neck like some predator.

Freaked me the hell out. Course when I turned around ready to elbow the bitch my door was shut and my room was empty. But man don't screw around with sleep paralysis. If I had lived in the 1800's I would've burned my house down and bathed in sage for years.

I had an episode of sleep paralysis when I was a student.I was sleeping on my side when I woke up,tried to get up and could not move at all.I tried with all my might and I could not even blink. Thank god I was aware of the sleep paralysis phenomenon or I would think I had suffered serious brain damage. It was scary nevertheless.

I believe it. Theres something really unnerving about the whole experience. You realize theres more going on in your brain then what you're aware of. Maybe even an awareness you aren't in complete control. Really scary stuff. Were you able to get your eyes open? When it happened to me my eyes were glued shut. I've heard stories of people having scary visual hallucinations, in that sense i do feel i lucked out.

My eyes were open but I could not even move my eyelids.I felt as if an external force was holding me down.My brother probably experienced a sleep paralysis episode accompanied with a visual hallucination. One night I was lying in bed when I overheard my brother yelling/gasping with fear.I got up worried, went to his bedroom and asked him what was going on. He said he saw a white mist like figure crossing his room and he could not move. I told him it was probably a sleep paralysis episode, informed him of my own experience and he calmed down.
