I think that's a good thing. It used to drive me nuts on TL when people posted stuff against trans people, even when it was stuff I agreed with, because I was always getting PMs from randos (I posted in a lot of subs outside of TL) asking me why I posted there and it was hard to defend the sub as "not anti-trans" when the front page was full of threads complaining about some random trans-Twitter posts (it seemed like it happened in waves) that they clearly went looking for and that could have easily fit in better on subs specifically set up to complain about the T.

It'll suck if posters can't vent about incidents in their actual lives or major trans-related news though.

Sorry but how is that a good thing? Literally anything that hurts trans people's feelings is enough to be labeled transphobic or literal violence. I've seen people say that everything from female anatomy to sex to homosexuality being transphobic. I don't see why we should care if trans people think calling them out on homophobia or sexism is "anti-trans." Not standing up for ourselves is how we got here. Banned and censored for daring to go against their disregard for other people.

As long as they don't like you, they will find a way to demonize you. I have seen so many trans allies get torns to shreds the minute they make the slightest mistake. Heck, a lot of us were allies before we saw what they've been doing to protect "trans rights."

I think it's a good thing because I recognize the reality that transbians and "allies" are going to be going over that sub with a fine tooth comb looking for things to report, not because I'm happy about the situation over at Reddit. And if there are any fence sitters or reasonable people that have taken notice of the sub, I think its inevitable removal has a better chance of "peak"ing someone if they shut down questionable content rather than letting it dominate, as it sometimes did at TL.

Lesbians venting about homophobia and misogyny is questionable content now? Am I in the right sub?

That sounds all well and good in theory until you pay attention to what's actually been happening. Everything we do is already looked through with a fine tooth comb. The tiniest "sins" (whether it's talking about pussy or expressing disgust over penises in ostensibly lesbian spaces) get removed from Reddit all the time. Unless you completely capitulate to their every whim and cognitively dissonant stance it's literally a matter of time.

The problem is that they consider even questioning trans ideology egregious. Hearing about the targeting of subs like GenderCritical, LGBDropTheT, detrans, PCOS, pregnancy, and even TrueLesbians from Reddit is peaking that middle ground of people very effectively, but TRAs don't see that reasonable content as reasonable. They see it as an attack. Anything that makes them feel "invalidated" is an attack. Do you understand how even if you try to play along with their imagined reality, they don't care unless you agree with everything they say? I swear some people here care more about saving face in front of people who hate us for being lesbians than they care about lesbians.

You apparently weren't paying attention to TL, because there were posters promoting harassment and brigading. I myself had a little cabal of losers following me around because I expressed opinions they didn't like, to the extent that a TL mod and other posters warned me to be careful about not giving out information about myself because I was being targeted. So this idea that TL was full of angelic women just venting is not true.

I want to be able to maintain our spaces and co-exist on large platforms, and not be outcast to these weird alt right platforms. And if one of our spaces gets shut down, I want there to be no doubt in mine nor any reasonable person's mind that the shuttering was due to lesbophobia.

Please point to where I said that TL was full of angelic women. I never really kept tabs on who was who on TL so I have no idea if what you're even saying is true, and I'm sorry if you were harassed, but it is really beside the point that I was making.

I guess when in doubt, accuse the other person of lying. Hell, one of the first posts I ever read here on this forum was someone planning a brigade.

You're the one who took my comment that amounted to "I'm glad they won't allow pointless shit stirring but I'm sorry they'll miss out on important and serious conversations." as a negative for whatever reason. Subs supposedly get banned on the grounds that members use them to organize harassment of other posters and subs, so it is not "besides the point."

I apologize for being a jerk. I'm trying not to fight with other lesbians, so I should have focused on our common belief that TL's banning was unfair, rather than on our differences.
