Lesbian bars don't make money, lesbians don't spend their coins the same way gay men do.

Pre QT bullshit lesbian bars were on and off. We are a small demographic that probably prefers to stay in rather than go out, especially as we age.

Lesbian themed retreats and festivals are the way forward, or would be if it wasn't for trans women.

I think it’s both? More woke problem at the moment though.

I went to lesbian bars in a few states “back in the day” and they were dead af. I think lesbians would benefit from a different type of setting, like boards and brews, cafes, bookstore with coffee shops, or small gaming places 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I've heard that the rates of teen drinking has been on the decline for a long time, so the lack of flourishing lesbian only bars might have to do something with that.

I once heard someone suggest that online dating was one of the biggest factors in killing lesbian bars. All I can contribute is speculation since I don't personally know what happened inside these businesses to make them decide to close, but it makes sense to me. Meeting people on an app feels much less intimidating to me than going to a bar to meet other lesbians. If online dating didn't exist I'd probably be more motivated to work up the courage to go to a lesbian bar or other irl event.

Where are you that there even were lesbian bars before the pandemic? I doubt there will be lesbian bars where I am. They closed years ago and now all the lesbians are trans men, non-binary, and/or queer.

It's a woke issue. Lesbians aren't considered a marginalized group anymore now that trans and nonbinary culture is in vogue. In fact, many exclusively lesbian bars were shut down because of transgender culture. And even the ones that are still opened have been renamed as "LGBTQ+" bars. For example,The Cubbyhole in Brooklyn

Both. The corporations/governments aren't going to earmark money for this purpose because I don't think there's a lot of money in catering to lesbians in most places. Corporations specifically are thinking about return on investment. "Lesbian" has become synonymous with anti-woke. Business and government leaders are not even hearing the word "lesbian" from LGBT organizations anymore, so they're certainly not going to do anything for us. It sucks. Where I am there are actually a lot of lesbian-owned bar/restaurants, but they don't specifically cater to lesbians.

I mean we can always pull from the coffers of the International Network of Powerful Lesbians though, right?

Lesbians don’t party... especially after we turn 25.

"Why won't these LGBT charities pay for my personal massage????"
