I'm more worried about LBLs who say "Tiktok turned me gay."

I wish this were a joke. I think I may have posted an example of this in s/lgbdropthet before. Straight women in late 30s or so apparently realized girls are pretty while watching Tiktok, decided her relationships with men failed because she might be gay and then immediately downloads a lesbian dating app and chats with women on their all day to set up a date. Just total 0 to 100 craziness. I pity any woman who ends up on a date with her.

Yeah I think more women realized during the pandemic/quarantine that they were unhappy with their boyfriends/husbands and their married life with kids, and did the mental gymnastics that they'd be happier if they date single women since they're a better alternative which = they're gay now.

I actually like watching YouTuber Alayna Joy because I think she's cute and I've always thought she was probably gay and not bi, but she's really taken to this "Tiktok made me gay" thing and while it was cute at first, I think women are REALLY thinking this, and yeah...I fear for others who date women who claim tiktok helped them find out their sexuality at 30+, when they have a husband and kids.

I started watching some of her videos after she came out as a lesbian. I really do think that she's a lesbian but the way she talks about it sometimes is just...... "You can be gay if you want to" was the worst thing possible for me. And then I went to the comments to see if anyone was saying something like "oh be careful with saying that kind of thing" but everybody was like "ohhh I'm so happy that she said we can be gay if we want to"

Why do you think she's a lesbian? Because she said she is?

Something in the way she described her own experience made sense when I watched and I didn't doubt her but I wouldn't bet anything

Thought the same thing tbh, but all of the comments she makes, esp the one you brought up about "You can be gay if you want to," makes me wonder if she has done it all for the $$$. It's how she makes a living AND she has become more popular after coming out as a lesbian.

Her story is sorta similar to mine, so I get it...but the things she says...

I've only heard about her now and had a quick look, kinda seems like a marketing ploy to me
