Pregnancy. A pretty illogical fear considering it has a much smaller chance of ever happening to me than to the average (straight) woman but I've had nightmares about being pregnant since I was a young child. Seeing pregnant women also freaks me out, I can't spend a lot of time around them and feel like a huge jerk but it activates my fight/flight response.

This is known as tokophobia! I have it as well but I've never had the nightmares, thank fuck. Pregnancy has always seemed like straight up body horror to me. "Miracle of life" my ass, bitch you've got a fucking parasite. No thanks.

I'm so glad someone else relates! I've woken up in cold sweat before from nightmares about pregnancy, it's honestly horrifying to me. I looked up resources on it now that I know the name and it's all about how it's an "obstacle for women who really want a child" and all this bullcrap, yeah nooo I'd rather not get patronised thanks.

Yeah the way people talk about pregnancy like it's an inevitability and not a choice doesn't help, and they really are so patronizing about it too 💀
