Mutual friends. Luckily she saw past the giant warning label that I came with at that moment in my life.

The first girlfriend I met outside of high school, was from a porn website. We both were in the same city. When we spoke, we found out we were going to the same univiersity. We met on campus. She was French Canadian. We broke up because she wanted to move back to Sept Ils. I didn't want to live there beyond the time I've had, so I left.

The second was a Chinese international student, we met at the library on campus. I was studying Chinese with some Taiwanese friends. Her and her friends overheard and began to make comments about Taiwanese not speaking good or correct Chinese. A while fight broke out between the two groups of nationals...fast forward, we broke up because I didn't want to remain in China. I did but she wanted to live in Luzhou, I wanted to live in Chengdu. We didn't compromise.

Came back to the states, got a job at Petco. Met a woman who worked for an org called Austin Pets Alive. She was a feminist...we stopped because she was too promiscuous for my taste even if we weren't committed.

Since moving from Austin to another city, I haven't dated. There was potential with a woman from work but we were co-workers. If I would have known covid was gonna happen, and we'd all be sent home, I would have kept it going.

My experience was good but we didn't really stand out...well I did because I'm obviously not Asian but our relationship was fine. We weren't harrassed, etc. The political atmosphere has changed regarding lgbt though. I also don't know of any clubs or hot spots, etc. When we broke up and while I was still there, I used Rela, an app. While I was there, it was common for women to hold hands with other women, and for women to have close relationships with another women. It's seen as a women thing and people just mind their business. Yes, they may talk about you behind your back but meh, that's no biggy.

Oh, and I'm just an average woman. I'm not butch/stud whatsoever. I would say I'm femme, tomboy, professional.

OkCupid, HER, and Tinder. Met my current gf on Tinder. It's definitely harder to use dating apps as a lesbian than if you're any other sexual orientation, from what my friends have told me. But in the end, you can still make it work if you're ready to be extremely selective and go on a lot of first dates.

I met my ex in college. Turns out she wasn’t a student there but was apart of this club her siblings made. I’ve met nice people along the way though. Oddly enough, after several years of not talking to my ex she still tries to talk to me. No thanks. Other than that I’m still trying to find “the one”

Edit: my ex is religious and I am not (I used to identify as Christian, but not anymore. I identify more with Pastafarian ;) I’ve had a lot of unfortunate events with religious LGBTQ+ individuals so I try to steer clear of them

My ex on a group with gals from a forum. My current on a dating app. Met a ''fling'' at school. That's it, I'm pretty boring and socially awkward.
