What is the situation like?

I was wondering, what is the situation like for lesbians and the community including dating etc.. in your corner of the globe, considering what is going on now?

For example, in 1-2 places that I know of, things for Lesbians are still mercifully vastly normal. Not perfect or utopic by any means but closer to normal. Multiple genders, identities and pronouns do not exist at all. AGPs do exist but their numbers are currently very small. There are TRA sympathizers and a growing visibility of TIFs. The TIFs are risky as most of them support AGP ideology. The mainstream is homophobic, so there aren't any rights for lesbians and gays. But at the same time, TRAs..etc.. also don't get free legal ammunition to bulldoze everyone else.

Lesbians/Bis are majorly comfortable and happy being a woman, and at this point, a lot seem to be wanting more and varied communities for various types of Lesbians.

Do you remember that this was how the American lesbian community used to be like in the not so distant past before things changed? There was getting to be more representation in the mainstream. There was also more discussion on different groups of lesbians and lots of other lesbian stuff in general.

So, if it's completely okay, I'd like to see how things are like for lesbians as a whole.

Here finding any lesbian woman is pretty tough, and lesbian bars are very rare and only in big cities. Society feels better about homosexual people here nowadays, but still not trully accepting us and it is tought to be open, especially for young women.

Transgenderism here is very weird, because transgender ideology can only exist in weirdness of English language, and we here have only word for sex and not for gender. However, a lot of money were put into local trans lobbies from west, and they are now trying to play homophobia card with "if you transition, then it is straight relationships". So people are now less hostile towards transgenders (as we still have here medium levels of homophobia in society). Plus recent pride parades were mostly of transwomen and bisexuals, and less with gay men or lesbian women, like it was before.

Thank you for your reply! I really like hearing about experiences from people in various countries, so that we can get a handle on how things are like for lesbians everywhere, which is something we don't really hear much about.

My part of the globe (SoCal suburban) is essentially anything but mentally stable, monogamous, lesbian women. It's the typical roster of non-woman identities, unicorn hunters, TRAs, etc. I'm glad at least in your corner things seem decent since I was under the impression that just about anywhere the dating puddle is pretty bleak for lesbians.

Thank you for your reply! I genuinely appreciate it. I would consider it just sheer luck at the moment, as even without the added matter, things already aren't anywhere near perfect for lesbians in this corner. North America definitely has one of the freest environment for lesbians before the nonsense started.

I live in a city in the American South. There’s not really a lesbian scene here. It’s kind of lonely.

I feel you. There are places where there is a real dearth of lesbians around.
