I'm glad that companies who treat their employees like shit get taken to task, but I'm a little annoyed that people seem to be taking this as confirmation that Ellen is an asshole who berates people. According to the sources, that claim is untrue and it's the producers who are the problem. That doesn't mean that she doesn't hold responsibility for her producer's behavior though.

“People focus on rumors about how Ellen is mean and everything like that, but that's not the problem. The issue is these three executive producers running the show who are in charge of all these people [and] who make the culture and are putting out this feeling of bullying and being mean,” another former employee claimed. “They feel that everybody who works at The Ellen Show is lucky to work there — ‘So if you have a problem, you should leave because we’ll hire someone else because everybody wants to work here.’”

I feel like lesbians we're either more afraid to admit when someone of our kind is doing wrong or we simply just want to bury it.

Again, I don't this sort of comment is justified towards me. I haven't seen really any reports on Ellen herself being a huge asshole behind the scenes, we all know the aspects of her and her show that are problematic or dislikable, that stuff is all public to see. But the accusations are aimed at the producers. I am just going by what the article said. I'm not "afraid to admit" anything.

I find it interesting but not surprised that you read this article and find her in no fault yet totally don't acknowledge the late 1990s skit where she comically reduces to stereotypes when she points out a black couple in front row of her show during her HBO performance. That you'll willing to over look the sexual comments she made to the likes of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. The racial comments made to Nicki Minaj, Usain Bolt, Beyonce, etc. Verbally abusive to Kathy Griffin. The allegations of casual racism began to show up in articles in 2014. The parading of men and having them constantly be shirtless on her show to oogle and laugh at. The young girls she questions about their sexuality and romance life, putting them on the spot like with Dance Moms, Naomi Osaka...there's even a sexual assault allegation from 2005, all searchable via Google. The sexual assault allegation, you have to dig deep but it's there.
