Wrote and read poetry about my crushes which put them on the spot and embarrassed them. I don't think I'd realized sexuality is static, not fluid, so romancing any girl I liked wouldn't make her like me if she only liked boys.

Lol I'm pretty sure we've all been there. I cringe so much at the way I acted when I had a crush on my singing teacher

10/10 have been in your position. Also an art teacher but she didn't teach my class. So I joined the art club in hopes she'd be there. But she rarely was. :( She was probably one out of many crushes I had in school. Some people around me knew but didn't think much of it. Looking back I cringee sooo hard but I also feel abit sorry for the girl I was.

    [–]fieryoyster 7 insightful - 5 fun7 insightful - 4 fun8 insightful - 5 fun -  (2 children)

Haha she wasn’t vegan but definitely a curveball

Lol. I thought I was replying someone else with the vegan.

Man, you broke your ankle and she wasn’t even gay. Man. The things we do for love

Wrecked like a whole year of my life being on crutches. On top of that I was In a different state and had to spend my summer there because I wouldn’t have been able to work when I got Back anyway. THE THINGS WE DO MAN.

There is a really cute girl working at a bookshop near me , I actually really hate reading but I thought I might like a book if it were gay. So I picked up one of the Sarah waters books and she starts to talk about how much she loves her books. So I was pretty hopeful that she was a lesbian too ( which would be a miracle considering how few of us there are in my tiny town)

Long story short I researched more lesbian books because I was trying to work out for sure whether or not she is gay. My awkward ass ended up buying like £50 worth of books over a few weeks so I had an excuse to talk to this girl ( looking back I definitely sound like a creepy stalker...) I was planning to ask her out the next time I saw her but then ya know global pandemic put a stop to that :(

Do not be sad, it is actually really good situation to introduce your feelings with something like: "I was so much missing you and your smile (or 'and especially your smile')", and then become embarrassed and look into the floor. Should be both nice compliment and semi-comingout, and will make discussions of similar topics easier in the future!

    [–]sunzzy 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Maybe, I just don't know if I'd actually be confident enough to say something like that to her but I do look forward to talking to her again, she seems a lot more extroverted than me.

    [–]VioletRemi 6 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 3 fun7 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

Then say it less provocatively and more soft, or cut to just "I was very missing you...and books". It must start somewhere...

I had an ex who I drove 8h straight (no break while she slept during) juste to take her to a seaside vacation appartement and when we arrived I was obviously exhausted she complained about me resting right away and told me I am wasting the day.

During that same vacation she got the flue I of course took care of her for almost a week while she was bedridden, later on she got better while I got sick in turn, obviously when I needed to rest too she complained yet again about not being able to enjoy the vacation... I had to take her out while having fever and coughing like crazy just to satisfy her. I remember struggling so much but enduring it just to make her happy.

So you see in my attempt to be a good girlfriend, I ended up wasting my health, time and money for somebody who didn't care about me, it was stupid to say the least but lesson was definitely learned though so I'm grateful for her in that regards.

Fell through the side of a set when I was doing a “cool 1980s brick-wall”-lean with my coworker when some babes were walking past. The wall was “wild,” meaning it was not firmly attached to the other walls so the shooting crew could move it to film another direction. My buddy was fine and I landed on my ass in front of camera ppl. The babes thought it was funny tho so it was worth the bruise.

Went vegan twenty years ago when meat-and-dairy-free analogues were just...awful. 😆🙄🤦‍♀️

I shouldn't have bothered, she was either straight or uninterested. Oh well.

You were eating cardboard meat for the sake of pussy. Be honest. It WAS worth it for the amount of lesbians you eventually met. Lol

Let her answer the question “Would you like to upgrade to the ocean front suite?” with my CC on the reservation. It worked, we’re married now.

This girl lost her shoes in a swamp and I jumped into waist deep swampy mud looking for it when we passed by the swamp several days later. I don't think anybody was impressed. She was concerned by my stupid behavior and told me to get out of the swamp. I wasn't even all that into her. Somehow my brain and raging teenage hormones convinced me that I would find the shoe and impress her. Also she was straight and I think had a boyfriend at the time.

My most embarassing try to get a girl was when I was very new to my sexuality, had a crush into a straight girl. And I knew she was straight, so I tried to act like a boy, or be boy, even tried some "funny" pick up lines, thinking that maybe she likes boys behaviour, or maybe she was like me and just afraid to be lesbian. That was so embarassing. Even now remembering this is making me blush from my stupidity.

gave an origami rose/cube that to her on valentines day. Made it black cus I didn't want it too be too much. It was too much. We don't even talk that much. She rejected it. I was embarrassed. I am still embarrassed

Don't be embarrassed that was sweet! and origami is cool.

It's ok. It's always too much for straight girls.

    Sigh

I ate a hot pepper at TGIF on a dare. She laughed her head off. It was worth it.

I made a vegan version of my grandma’s Christmas cookies for this one girl as a gift...I don’t think they tasted well but she said she liked them.

I started studying Chinese in my final year of high school because I had a crush on my friend who was from Shanghai. After I left college and knew I'd never see her again, I contained studying Chinese just because I'm a linguistics nerd. In many ways, me studying Chinese wasn't that big of a deal, because I'd always been curious about Chinese. But I also joined the volleyball team to hang out with that same girl, despite having no interest in volleyball whatsoever. For me personally that was the bigger one, I think.

I was 16, and in love with my best friend Molly (fake name). I may or may not have brought her 12 red roses and a box of choclate for Valentine's day with the explanation: "I believe that you should be able to celebrate platonic love on this day too". (Fucking bullshit...) This stunt also outed me to my entire class. The only one who didn't get that I was head over heels was Molly herself...
