Is this the same GI Jane that was on board with TL regarding trans issues and bisexual women until she became a bisexual last summer? The same Jane who bullied TL users before and after her TL ban? The same Jane who burned so many bridges at TL that she literally had no choice but to create her pathetic excuse for a hand-holding, ass-kissing, uwu inclusive worthless sub that will never take the place of the TL that she once loved so much? And the fact that the mod of a lesbian sub is willing to send these types of messages to the mod team of a banned lesbian sub speaks volumes to the kind of person Jane is. Actuallylesbian is a nothing sub with a nothing mod. They stand for nothing and Jane is a traitor to women and lesbians. This sub will never get banned because it is so focused on self-preservation, solely for the ego boost of Jane, that it won’t draw a line in the sand on anything.

I checked that sub just yesterday, and out of 10 topics on first page, 4 were about "traslesbians" specifically with dicks, two were about TL ban, and 4 were some random non-related stuff.

Agreed. I was actually quite surprised how many lesbians on Reddit expressed happiness that TL was banned (including on Actuallylesbian). I'll never understand why lesbians celebrate other lesbians being thrown out of their spaces, but apparently that's the world we live in now. Just one more reason why I don't want to have anything to do with the ''LGBT community'' - all they care about is ideological purity.

    Sis, the idea of “‘civil debate’ with a bisexual poly trans femme” just made me so damn tired to read. Also “mtf ‘butch’” is so beyond offensive to me. I’m so tired of it all. So glad we are here now.

    I spent possibly much longer than most of the other lesbians here trying to cope within the community as it changed to literally include everyone with any amount of non-straightness, as they came to occupy all of our events and spaces and pushed us all out so they could larp in our place. It’s like how whole neighbourhoods become gentrified but try to keep the “spirit” of what was built by all of the minorities they displaced. It’s become such a facade now, especially online.

      Many times the “mtf butches” seem to see lesbian butches as “straight men,” like themselves before transition, and like how 99% of straight people see butches who do not know any real lesbians. It’s based on stereotypes that come from heterosexual gender roles. Butches don’t fit that.

      Butches are not the “man” in the relationship! Lots of “mtf” butches seem to want to play the “man” role, as if being butch gives them access to that, when lesbian butches are just women who have a certain look and may or may not identify with some aspects of “masculinity.” They are ALL different, and certainly not a stereotype.

      This shows an alarming lack of understanding of butch women, clearly they have much less in common with butches than they think. It’s annoying how “mtf butches“ end up bringing all of the gross man roleplay stuff into the lesbian community by bragging about how they are such “aggressive tops.” Do these dudes know that butches are not patriarchal stereotypes and very unlikely to even be “tops”? Lol. I’ve met very few butch tops, and they definitely didn’t go on at length about it in a creepy gross way, and were very loving people. I don’t know who mtf butches think they are relatable to here, but it’s not lesbian butches. Omg. Lesbian butches spend forever convincing women they are NOT creeps.

      And omg poly ppl who sleep with men calling themselves “lesbians” is brutal. I know a “trans woman” who met her “trans man” boyfriend on a dating app for WOMEN. And she dates men, ftms, and women. That’s not lesbian, girl. It’s just not. I’m fact, you and your primary partner are essentially a heterosexual couple. Lol

      I told her she needs to stop using lesbian if she’s gonna date men. I was like “fine, you’re a trans-lesbian if you transition mtf and date women, but if you’re gonna date males and females you are not a lesbian of any category, ffs.” She was mad at me for a few days. Lol. (I’m using female pronouns for her because she is my good friend and she’s cool. I know some women here wouldn’t do that, and I am sorry to offend anyone, my friend knows how I feel about all of this and she’s worried too, she likes being transsexual and doesn’t consider herself a woman in the way we are, she says she “identifies WITH women as opposed to “as” a woman.”) Anyway, it’s really annoying how even trans ppl want to act like being bi doesn’t exist and keep saying “lesbian.”

      ActuallyLesbian thinks that they're some kind of "enlightened middleground" when in fact it's a dead sub which absolutely no-one wants to take part in. I mean TL got banned and they still get less concurrent users than we do on saidit lmao.

      Also AuntieApocalypse and GIJane were two of the worst and most toxic posters on TL, and I was so glad when they finally decided to pack up and take their crap with them.

      Well, we kind of forced that when we banned them from the sub. That's the main reason why they dislike us to the extent that they do.

      They would come to TL and post a bunch of toxic crap, then go to other subs and trash talk TL for being a cesspool. When I banned GIJane, she was all butt-hurt and surprised that I cared what she said about us in other subs.

      It kinda feels good being able to talk about the shit we put up with for a change. :)

      Had no idea they were banned, good riddance. And yeah, now that we've moved to saidit it feels like we don't have to walk on eggshells all the time just to placate the stalkers. That said, I remember GIJane used to constantly start shit, she'd always make it a point to go into all the vent threads just to tell everyone they're wrong, and then when she'd get called out she'd run to LA to whine about how we're all a bunch of terfs. I mean, I remember some real characters on TL, (looking at you geminixplicit) but AA and GIJane were the worst.

        I was there to defend TL. Many users there looooooove to hate on it. Not all, there were a few respectful that simply being here wasn't "their thing", but many.

        I noticed they think it’s hateful. Like, come on. One of the mods was all “well, I think trans women are women, but..” like girl, no you don’t. You think trans women are trans women and they shouldn’t face hate. Which I think we can all agree on. And they would NOT face backlash if they (the TRA transbians in particular and their rabid ally army of dull children), would stop pushing lesbians to change their definition of lesbian. Period.         She's one of the 3 r / Actuallylesbian mods. One of her comments says they are trying to grow their sub now. They have 1.6K members. I reckon since they were around longer than TL, they were probably really pissed that TL had a lot more traffic. From her comments page, it really does sound like they might have had an active role in getting TL banned. There's a good chance that the AL sub is actually all men anyway.

        Wait, which sub are you talking about? All the names are so similar.

        You can see the creation date of a sub on the right hand side of old reddit. TrueLesbians was around for a few years before reddit banned it. ActuallyLesbian is small because it's only 9 months old. And actuallesbians is giant because they've been around for a decade.

        Yeah there's a "AyL" now too, but it's a different sub and isn't connected to any others. AL is the big one that is basically open to anyone, not just lesbians, and has lots of trans memes. LA broke off from AL years ago and wanted less moderation. But LA has basically devolved into AL with selfies. AyL is a small sub that says they're "neutral territory" between AL and TL (TrueLesbians).

          Yeah. If you have a fucking problem with some shit in the ONLY LESBIAN SUB on reddit (that you are fucking lucky to be included in, and should be grateful to be a part of, that the mods work fucking hard to keep unbanned for women like you), then you should have some bloody respect for your fellow lesbians and yell at us within our own sub or in DMs, instead of cruising over to the “cool girls” sub and publicly bitching about the mean lesbians disagreeing with you, dumbass.

          There's so much trash talking about us on LU too. For some reason they never banned my wife off there. She only says wholesome things and ignore the drama so maybe that's why. Once in a while she'll show me the hate posts and we have a good laugh. Zelmi is apparently a mod there now.

          Oh man that sub was/is such a wreck. I never really posted much but watching them bully literally everyone who didn't follow their ideas 100% was rough. I knew if I spoke up they'd just target me so I only posted when they had throwaway days.
