I can't articulate my frustration and anger at how we have been ostracized from reddit. The wave of hatred and erasure we have experienced over at reddit has made my blood boil. Truelesbians was a safe space for biological women to discuss anything and everything, to feel welcome and at home as part of a community. We HAD to create that sub because of the influx of TRA users and bigots within Actuallesbians, we had to deviate from the sub that frankly, made a mockery of the word Lesbian by allowing and advocating for all sexualities (and berating us for disliking that).

There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with us creating Truelesbians and actively participating there, we deserved our own space that was ours - every other subset of the LGBT+ alphabet soup seem to have their own but the presence of ours offended everyone. It's a joke.

I'm no bigot, but i'm done with lesbian erasure, i'm done with female erasure, and i'm done with feeling like everything we post on reddit or comment on is at risk of being dissected and reported and scrutinized by other users or mods with a chip on their shoulder.

I'm glad this sub exists here because TL has gone private, the Mods are right to make it private for protection sakes, but they are disallowing followers who have never commented in the sub, or who follow specific subs from accessing the content, I hate that they have had the task of having to filter through users and inadvertently stop users with good intentions from rejoining because the minority have spoilt it. It's a shame users with nothing but good intention and desire to interact with their own community can't rejoin because of a misunderstanding :(

The people who briggaded TL have ruined it for us all. I'm kinda envious of the users who have been allowed back in. I heard lots of users are being rejected because they never commented in the sub - (what's to prove they aren't going to cause trouble I guess?) - but some people enjoy lurking interesting content, saving and liking posts for future reference, like reading a book. Ironically, they can't even do anything because they can't even comment.

My entire profile was full of content that proved I was both biologically female and a Lesbian, I had also posted in the sub multiple times... but because I posted in a bi sub one time - the Mod wouldn't let me participate in the now private sub. I was so angry, now i'm just disappointed.

I understand it is a challenging time for the Mods though and they have so much to contend with, I can't imagine how many profiles they have to go through and how difficult it is to determine whether a user is genuine or not. I'm just kinda sad, I really miss the sub, the content and the users who would post there. I wonder if anyone linked to the sub/mods are using this site? If so, please can you clarify whether we will gain access in the future, or can appeal a message not being allowed back? I'm upset that having only posted in a bi sub once means that I am unable to access TL.

So I hope this site gains more interest as users migrate from reddit. I hope other people who have been driven out like us find this place, and I sincerely hope we manage to recreate a decent Lesbian sub here (especially if we never get to see Truelesbians again)
