I guess we found out who the final boss of Pride month into July is 😒

it's really odd. This year's Pride especially seems to be all about punishing same-sex attracted people, with the punishment all coming from the TQ+ community. Maybe they feel like they have to silence us online even more this year since there are no pride parades? Normally they'd just ban us from the marches and be done with it. Now, we have to be rooted out from having a presence ANYWHERE, perhaps especially where uninitiated normies might accidentally wander across our perspective.

This is just so upsetting, no words can express it. I am in my late 30s and I come from a very homophobic country. It took so much time and effort to escape my country of origin and move to a democratic and open-minded one. Never ever would I imagine to have to go through hate, discrimination and "lesbians will enjoy dick, they just need to try it" all over again. It feels surreal. We gotta do something about it.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been watching this shit-show unfold since the early 2000s, and I've never seen as much awareness and resistance to it all as there is now. The idea of someone like JK Rowling coming to the support of lesbians would have been unthinkable back then. No disrespect meant to her, but if she'd been aware of the 'conflict' back then, I am pretty certain she would have been on the pro-trans and anti-lesbian side, because that was just the default position that the nice, clueless allies took. We even have some conservatives speaking up for us. And I know there are different perspectives on that, not everyone likes it, but again...20 years ago, that would have been unthinkable. The bannings are happening because we're getting too loud and too organised and too effective. So we just need to keep doing more of the same.

Yep. You're right in everything you say. Even if I wasn't there for a lot of that, what you say matches up with other accounts I've read, and also a lot of things I've seen myself, particularly non-lesbians insisting on calling themselves lesbians and being in lesbian spaces. Not in all cases, but in many cases the non-lesbians were the ones at the vanguard of insisting lesbians be more open to having men in our spaces.

It's one of the reasons why I think lesbians need to be vigilant and tell all the bisexuals and celibate straight women wanting to hide from their own toxic culture to buzz along and stay out of our lesbian-only spaces. There are plenty of other spaces where they can mingle with lesbians if they want to.

I watch this shit-show almost as long as you and you are right.I always believed that their end would come if their vile demands and tactics spilled to the mainstream and started harming heterosexual people.

It does make me feel better, indeed! Thank you for sharing how things unfolded, I wasn't aware of it. Yes, we just continue to be loud and organized and it's all going to be fine again.

Is that country Russia? I'm half Russian and that side of the family says the gay comes from my Canadian side since there's no gays in Russia.

That is a great point, as they seem to be more aggressive because we are not all over the place online to some extent and the foundation/congregation scares them, especially since IRL pride was canceled. They always had to be constantly validated and it’s tiresome for those that can see through the bullshit. Misery loves company though

    [–]writerlylesbian 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

well I think they're facing a bit of a conundrum this year with regards to the whole 'Pride' issue. Because on the one hand, even if world events are stopping the marches, all the Woke media of course want to virtue-signal the hell out of the whole thing online. BUT, there's a big danger that people could start listening to the 'wrong voices', esp. in the wake of some things which are currently happening like JK Rowling speaking up, transitioning of minors being questioned in the UK, Allison Bailey's actions against Stonewall. So they really have to go the extra mile to try and shut up all the riff-raff (ie the actual LGB) who might get the general public realising that all is not well in Alphabet Utopia.

If that’s the case, I hope we keep giving them a conundrum and show them that we cannot be silenced

    [–]midnight305[S] 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I decided to make signs and go stand outside city hall just to show the world what's happening. They cant shut us up.

I'm not going back into the closet I'll be damned .

Seems my protest piece everyone hated was right .

They want to throw us in the closet tied up with tape on our mouth with terf burned into our forehead.

Not so fast. We still gotta survive the 2020 election still. No boss fights until major disappointment arrives.

Even that, I’m worried about. If we vote trump, (which I will never do), then 4 more years of hate and war crimes against humanity. If we vote Biden, trans might rule. Idk

    [–]PassionateIntensity 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Fingers crossed the Democrats betray TRAs because they realize they're politically toxic. It's all about money (donations) for them. If we can make some of the female politicians realize the consequences for women's rights... Hillary basically came out as a TERF, but I doubt she would've done that if she won.

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I’m hoping they do, or if we vote in Biden, we can pressure him to not sign laws in TRA favor. If enough women speak out against it to him, he would have to oblige. The scary thing is though, is that he’s our only out from Trump

    [–]Fleursdumal 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Call me optimistic but I think it will eventually end. I think it's all mass hysteria like we had for disassociate identity disorder in the 80s and satanic panic in the 90s. Most people are just unaware and don't know better. They want to be nice and TRAs are loud. Most of the people who support TRAs are very young and naive. The TRAs themselves are so far down their delusion they can't even consider a dissenting opinion.

This war never stops. I am thinking now about labrys tattoo.

I have scars, right-wing and "family values" guys beated the shit out of me 12 years ago for being lesbian. And I found help in LGBT community, we fought for rights in my homophobic country and had some success. And now "New LGBT" is turning against me with hate and threats of violence. Just like before, just now not 80% of world is against us, but 98%.

    [–]midnight305[S] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

The LGBT community was never my friend or ally. I ran to them when I was 16 and I was basically chewed up and spit out. Been telling people how toxic they was for years now ,but no one wanted to listen.

    To late now huh?

I went in vi and come out a lesbian. At first it was bi hate and " you cant be both "

But then I was raped 3 times or so bu guys ,had endometriosis at the time , and was more or less in a Male relationship because of my families " have kids get married " shit .

Never liked guys sexually never will it's how I found out I was a lesbian.

Now the trans are pushing the same thing guys did back in the early 2000s

    [–]VioletRemi 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

and was more or less in a Male relationship because of my families " have kids get married "

Reminded me my story. I was married on a man for 3 years, because "it is how it must be done in society", and I did not know that women can be with another women, our country is pretty homophobic and there were nowhere to see about lesbian stuff at all. However, I never felt good with a man, and even when married, it felt very wrong to me. Husband was a very nice person, and tried his best, but I just felt wrong. So we divorced in the end. And after divorce I was pretty sad and I was a student, I asked to move me to room with less people in it in dormitory, so from 5-women room I was moved to 2-women room instead, however, there was only one big bed for 2 people. And somehow one night we ended up having sex with my roommate, that whas when I realized that it is what I like and what I want. And then at one point, some guys find out that we, two women, are in relationship, and beated me up. They wanted to "introduce her dick and she will like it for sure, it will fix her", but I was lucky that Principal was walking nearby, and she said "she was married, maybe just lost or experimenting, leave her alone". And she was perfectly fine for them beating me for being lesbian (I did not know that word then, yet). That was when I realized, that no one will help me and no one will accept me. And if I go into police - they will be just like principal, and maybe even will help beating me. So I tried searching other people, found one gay man who was in similar situation, and we founded small LBG group and later joined one bigger, with people who suffered similar fate. Nowadays helping LGBT is a fashion, it is cool, so almost everyone in LGBT movements here are not LGBT themselves, and never suffered any discrimination. And when I am looking to the west - USA, UK, Canada, there everything is much worse and LGBT degraded into something anti-LGBT completely. And this anti-LGBT that is called LGBT is acting literally the same like those guys and principal were acting 12 years ago.

I'm sorry that happened to you. It's so hard on us when we are beat or told or even trying to br forced to like something.

No one should ever have to go through that stuff ever. And I agree the community chewed itself up and spat itself back out again.and yeah I dont see sexuality as cool or hip like they do . I see it as just a part of who I am.

I think soon people will understand our struggle. The difference between same-sex attraction and same-gender attraction. I think heterosexuals will have to defend us because I bet many straight men and women would not want to be with trans people with same genitalia as they do. So, how will they defend themselves? Many would not want to identify transphobic. So we just have to teach them you aren't transphobic for having genitalia preference despite whatever "gender" the person with genitalia claims to be.

    [–]midnight305[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Thing is I dont have a genital fetish . I never been attracted to any private parts. I'm attracted to the body the whole body itself. I'm not even attracted to naked bodies ...

But I'm attracted to the person. Females inheritel Smell different than males do. Its scientific fact . Before deodorant and perfumes we used to relie more on scent in finding a mate because people often forget we are animals.

I'm attracted to how a womans body is how she smells etc. Its disrespectful to tell me I have to love an altered body or a man when I'm not attracted to one because of my animal based instincts and reactions to said female bodies.

    [–]LoneButch 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Definition of fetish: a form of sexual desire in which gratification is linked to an abnormal degree to a particular object, item of clothing, part of the body, etc. There is no such thing an genital fetish. Because genitals are normal to sexualize especially because they are used in order to have sex. I understand what you are saying though. But still, my argument remains. You have same-sex attraction not simply same-gender.

Is this a rhetorical question? Because the morally straight, honest, vilified right wing has been saying this would happen since before the alphabet soup was a thing.

We aren't saying we told you so. We it feels good for others to see it too. No, really that's all we want: just for people to see it our way without the hate that always comes with trying to restate our ideas.

the trans community truly is a cult. it has many similarities to the religious cult that I grew up in. unfortunately, after I left the religious cult, I got caught up in the trans cult, as is common with many ex cultists. but after a year I peeked from seeing too many (((transbians))) display incel behavior. thankfully I didnt get any hormones or surgeries

    [–]midnight305[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah where all exposed to so many cults as a kid.

My family was religious christains and I learned I could t have poc friends ,be non religious, ot anything other than straight

My mom was a Democrat and I was more or less always pushed into....your white , your straight , your a Christian, your Democrat etc because my family was. Wasnt until I was 16 when I finally said no I'm my own person.

Now I'm a lesbian ,non religious, woman looking for a gf to share my life with.

    [–]lmaonope333 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

just from the info you gave that doesn't sound like a cult. religion isn't a cult. parental expectations isn't a cult. I grew up in an actual cult. I had virtually no access to mainstream society and I had to literally sneak out of my parents house when I left
