Wrong, there has never been a time when homeless did not exist. However, the problem is now the smallest it has ever been, thanks to capitalism.

published numbers say that we have approx 500,000 homeless in the united states.

it is my opinion, kind sir or madame, that you could debate your way out of a tornado or tsunami.

there are 500,000 people that do not have a stable home.

we have literally millions of people in impoverished rural area that are at or below starvation levels.

we have literally millions of people that are seemingly hopelessly addicted to opiate pain killer drugs.

thanks to capitalism.

Literally nothing you said addresses the fact that it is capitalism that has reduced poverty and you have the audacity to claim that capitalism is still the problem. Absolute insanity. You are the king of clowns in clown world, congratulations.

9/10ths of the law is about one's intent.

do you notice that my posts are not peppered with insults.

my intent is to find solutions, while your intent seems to be of a rude and agressive type.

you should drop off your resume to CNN.

There are no solutions in lies. You are stuck on trying to lie your way to a solution. You should drop off your resume to CNN.

I really agree with a lot of what both you and @canbot said. I think that you might both benefit from moving away from the whole socialism-vs-capitalism dichotomy now, because it is not a useful model anymore. Obviously the capitalists are also socialists trying to implement a Chinese model of capitalist-socialist totalitarianism with no freedom and huge wealth disparity.

I think you need to acknowlege that there are “poor” people who are behaving badly, harmfully, unproductively and are not having their wealth stolen. They are having wealth distributed to them from useful workers.

Canbot doesn’t seem to realize that a free market society is only functional if everyone is playing by the same rules in the market and that everyone in the market must have a stake in the overall welfare of the society based on a common set of values. A handful of bad actors cannot be allowed to fuck over the rest of the society, especially productive workers. Because then there is no trust. No trust= no prosperity.

Which is what we got here.

Most of these homeless are people that are choosing to be homeless because they are drug addicts. Many of these people are illegal immigrants. Criminals. And certainly some crazy people.

I am strongly in favor of increasing manufacturing in the US immediately. Some of these people can produce wealth if given increased opportunity. But we cannot keep compensating drug addicts at the expense of workers.

Oh btw. We can end drug use anytime we want. Anytime. When people decide that living in a decent country is more important than the right to get high. Its very easy to solve the drug problem.
