Crony capitalism is not proper capitalism. Be careful what you wish for.

Agreed.

Crony capitalism is socialism for the wealthy. The wealthy take care of their own.

Tax breaks, hands outs, bail outs, give-aways, tax credits, etc., etc.
Socialism for the wealthy.

... which is directly opposite the actual definition of actual socialism, which is in a nutshell, anything that pulls the balance of power from being almost completely in the hands of the wealthy back towards the normal folk.

Basically if you stand against socialism, you stand for tyranny of the rich on the normal people.

...handing power back towards the normal folk by giving the politicians, the government, the state, the bureaucrats, the deep state etc unlimited power?

Definitely NOT. The politicians, the government, the state, the bureaucrats, the deep state are all part of the group that OBVIOUSLY hoards all the power to begin with. They need check and balances, and that is the essence of actual socialism. Remember, socialism was an idea created by Anarchists and Libertarians. How could you even fathom that such people would want big government?
