It's funny to see some Left v. Right manipulated minds absolutely loathe AOC (which I find hilarious!)
because they don't know what the hell is going on and they ended up siding with the billionaires, lol!

Ah, public school teachers.. I take a more simplistic approach..

If you don't like: - summers off, - shitty union dues, - shitty yet stable pension for the rest of your life regardless of what happens in the market or that states budget, - freedom to indoctrinate teach your students whatever you want so long as it's at least mildly progressive - freedom from the fear of being fired from your job if you're bad at it and schmooze the right person.. transfer? Yes please.. - have all those precious little children.., in a good way like Catholic priests.., but without any of the consequences since you're on the right team - a shitty yet comprehensive medical plan that most other govt employees get, because you're worth it - the ability to infinitely complain about how you are terribly underpaid and undervalued yet like most public teachers you're pretty much marginal at best and considering the benefits and working hours, are truly living the good life

Yeh if they can't handle the above, I'd instruct them to get a better career. Or if they're really a teacher, they should try competing for careers at charter schools or private institutions where you get exactly what you deserve because most of the parents aren't just dropping their kids off for state run daycare and progressive conformity classes and they'll pay a teacher a worthy wage to ensure they can avoid all of the above.

But my guess is most of them are fine just complaining about things and gobbling up those state and federal bennies.

You are so off base, imo. Not sure where you live, but in the bay area, teachers do not live comfortably.

Educating the next generation properly is the primary investment our species makes in its future. Teachers, especially those who teach grade school, ought to be compensated in a way that makes the position highly sought after and thereby occupied by the best possible people. Instead, people who were born into wealth or work for "tech" (i.e. advertising) companies selling bullshit ads are the only ones who can live comfortably in some areas. Our system is broken.

The bay area? Motherfucker that place is so expensive there's probably engineers struggling to make rent there.
