No child left behind means everyone gets a diploma regardless of performance. This has the side effect that teachers don't get any satisfaction for their work.

Then they get to be tasked with babysitting thugs because expelling troublesome students is racist.

Jobs generally pay what they pay based on how many people can do them, with obvious exceptions where nepotism and celebrity are involved. This was the largest driver of 2nd wave feminism; lowering wages by doubling the work force - never mind the terrible societal costs.

If only Obama hadn't saddled our education system with endless new regulations requiring expensive new administrators to enforce.

You can pay for 1.5 - 2 teachers for one administrator. But I guess there are more important things than teaching.

I knew a chick that quit teaching, joined the military and went to war.

THAT.. is how bad teaching sucks today.
