I think the underlying message here works. People bitch, and complain about social spending, and people on 'welfare'; yet these same people will usually not say anything about $10,000 tiolets, or million dollar bombs being dropped 100 at a time.
So yeah, instead of funding destruction, and strife, we can be funding progress without drinking the cool-aid of authoritarianism cloaked in sheep's clothing.

Notice the list of priorities don't have the people's interest in hand rigged? It is a fucking Ponzi scheme but I'm voting are you?

It's not that "we" can't afford it. It's that the issues are extremely complex(and some are extremely subjective without clear goals). But the same way a dad would tell his kid that they can't afford a puppy, you're told that you can't afford that.

Laughs in European..
There is a lot of money going into nonsense. The pentagon lost track of $21 Trillion and this is just a minor example. More goes into the federal banks who earn money by creating debt. Europe is now working on their own economic collapse.

But things are not just that simple to change..
Let's take the other extreme of "giving money to the poor". It has the downside that it prevents those dependent on it from growing to their capacity. Some are even addicted to the problem they are stuck in.
One difficult problem is the way people deal with government support and family support, as it depends very much on their culture.
My Solution..
My preference is to start making structures and infrastructures in which the people can grow and develop. This means very cheap and variating education, cheap shelter, small businesses. But also the support of a wide variation of political ideas.
This also means the removing the power of large corporations and large organisations/agencies. Full insight into financial practices and business practices, even that of the agencies. No more "national security" to hide drugs trades.
One important step is to take the money out of the political system. No more corrupt deals. This means that the political system needs to be upheld by the people and for the people. Not by corporations, media and criminals.
Decentralisation, openness and (voluntary) cooperation.

That's a lot of words to say, "I don't know much about the topic."
