Worst is physical slavery.

Next worst is debt slavery, because at least you can control your physical person some of the time.

Next worst is wage slavery, because then at least you don't have debts. But you still cannot stop working because bills are soon due.

If you can live cheaply, and slowly save several years of money, and maybe develop some passive income or your own business, then you can live truly free and actually own your time on this Earth. It's difficult, but doable for many, but instead many choose to work 3 years for someone else, to pay for a fancy car they don't need anyway. As a "reward" or to impress their friends.

You know what's a great reward? Not having to go to work for someone else anymore because you planned your way out of that trap. Having the time to pursue your actual dreams instead of fulfilling someone else's because you need a wage.
