For real. But also simultaneously among the left-wing brand of crazies, there is pressure to identify and declare your sexual orientation and "gender identity" as anything other than "cishet" at increasingly younger ages. Why can't there be a happy medium of letting people figure themselves out at their own pace?

Agreed; The natural neutrality of sexuality got pushed and pulled every which way by irrelevant motivations stemming from both ideological extremes until it became all warped and disfigured. Sexual orientation could be like a tranquil recreational park but is instead a miasmic battleground between 2 political factions. Eventually, I hope it'll all blow over and settle into that happy medium after these warring types take their personal hangups and their axes and go some place else to grind them; Leaving others in peace to develop and self-actualize.

I think the main thing is to take a kid's proclamation of orientation the same way you might take a kid's proclamation of a crush. Not as entirely baseless, but also not as equivalent to what that same statement would mean coming from an adult.
