This person's experience is that when they make a typical post on social media-- a few people respond (represented by the small crowd in the top right panel). If they make a post on social media that mentions the fact that they are gay-- then a ton more people respond (represented by the massive crowd in the bottom right panel).

One reason for this difference is that many of the people in the bottom right panel may be trying to signal that they are supportive of gay people, LGBTQ+ rights, or otherwise publicly signal that they're openminded and gain social credit that way. (That's the cynical interpretation, of course; it's also possible that some just aren't interested in the typical posts of the gay person, but still want to communicate that they support that person!)
