I mean... I can see someone being gay and conservative in some aspects. Just not when it comes to topics surrounding LG (for obv reasons). Plus, conservative doesn't mean the thing in all places. Of course, we're talking about the USA, I just wanted to point that out tho.

Liberalism is what allowed gay rights to exist. Deciding whether to ally with Christian theocrats now that gay rights exist (and are still in a very fragile state) seems like a no-brainer to me.

Liberalism is also what caused all this other nonsensical stuff to occur as well. Plus, not all conservatives are Christian. Yes, most are in the US, but that shouldn't brand them all the same. That's why some are for same sex rights.
