We are told that bigots will be bigots no matter what, but I can appreciate a big change in public opinion about homosexuality and i think queer ideology played a big role. I remember people talking about homosexuality in the 2000s and it was nothing like this. Of course you always had your typical religious nutjob, but most people remained neutral and preferred not making comments.
Right now I see thousands of people on many social platforms (many of them quite young) stating that:
-Homosexuality is a choice. If a person who claim to be just like us go by wolf/wolfself and they are "genderfluid" it's understandable for other people to think that being lgbt is a choice. If you can change your sex and become and man and suddenly gay men must be attracted to you (and the mainstream gay community support this narrative to the bitter end), then people understand that being a gay male is a choice and you just need the "right woman".
-Homosexuality is not natural. The queer activists have been rewriting history and spreading lies and cheap propaganda. Stating that ancient greece was a gay paradise for example, or that the concept of being trans have existed since forever. When these lies are disproven people begin to think that they had to rewrite history because being gay have always been an abomination and they had to hide the shameful truth. The conclusion is that being gay is a modern invention
-Gay people are dictators. Policing the language, firing people, ostracism, etc. If you go to the extreme of saying that not validating people is equal to murder and not respecting people pronouns is hate speech then you are going to be seen as a deranged dictator. Corporations have been supporting this snowflakey narrative and including it in entertainment. People is fed up. Again, the G is clearly written everywhere along the TQ.
-Gay people are pedophiles. Trans history hour, LGBT children books, enforced LGBT education in schools...I understand that we can't claim someone is a pedophile just because they want to be around children, but this children fixation is insane. No wonder they are scared, calling us pedophiles. If you really wanted to help gay kids, this is going to backfire tremendously. Parents still think that you aren't born gay and they need to protect their kids from gay influences. The only thing you are accomplishing is gay kids being even more repressed and kept in the dark. They won't hear the word "gay" until they are legal adults.
The future doesn't look good. And every year, specially after the pandemia, I can see an evolution for the worse.
