My mother still gets a paper delivered daily, and today's Sunday issue has the entire front page devoted to a big gender affirming care story, talking about a girl who's "known" she was a boy since she was five. You can imagine what the story is like, so there's no need to go into it in detail. What it lacks is any consideration of what happens down the road and what happens when this kid is 20, 30, or 40. There's no consideration of whether or not it works long-term.
