I had to read this several times to get what was going on.

So, a gay trans man was dating another gay trans man, but now, the second trans man is detransitioning, so it would now be a gay trans man dating a woman.

But in one of those moments of clarity she says:

I feel like anyone who saw us would just assume we are lesbians.

Yes, that's probably right.

Are they actually detransitioning - as in, going back to their birth-assisgned gender

she isn’t fully detransitioning, just going by she/they/he rather than he/him,and exclusively presenting feminine
