I feel like these people just sit on Reddit smelling their own farts and never get out and touch grass.

The same person wrote elsewhere on Reddit:

I have never spent a night not under the same roof as them [her parents]. While I understand their concern, I am an adult and I want to socialize and explore new places without constant fear that I’m disappointing my parents. Or that their fears were right and I’ll get hurt somehow by myself.

She says she's 23 years old. Her other posts are about anime and cartoon characters.

So, yeah, literally afraid to leave the house by herself. :-/ We seem to have created a generation of kids terrified of the outside world and turned inward on fantasy.

To be fair I left my home at 28. Yes, I was terrified of the outside world. My early years were full of unstable situations and neglect. I needed a small space where I could control everything and get the slightest sense of stability. Even if my house was religious and it was damaging my mental health, I wasn't prepared to face uncertainty.

Its a common way to raise children. Fostering obedience rather than independence you get adults who aren't prepared to face the outside world. I think there are way too many incompetent parents out there. Raising children is not an easy task, and it has been presented as the life goal everyone should aspire to. Our society is quite irresponsible and messy

Well I wonder why it's all about men and their needs 😂. I wonder why transmen aka women complain about being invisible and even some queer people have never heard of them. I wonder why it's all about natal men Rant over and in response to rhetorical question posed in link!!

I been thinking of this as well.

There was an article in my country that talked about Dylan more in a feminist light. In the sense that even in womanhood men are dominating the talks. Not much talk of trans men just trans woman. It's always man.

I mean it must be funny being a modern feminist (lesbian especially). You can't exclude trans from your enviroments or you will loose your underpriveleged class priveleges by being tagged as transphobe. At the same time males are getting the things that where from females, while staying with the things that where from males. And then you have the likes of the tiktok "gym pervs" fiasco and some random woman in a part of the world trying to legalize 6th trismester abortion for any situation fucking up everything you movement fought for.

I am really curious how the whole trans thing will turn out. It's the ONE line that isn't an easy cross like gay rights and birth control rights. I'll be here watching.

EDIT: don't actually try to reason with the points they bring on that thread, god it hurts to read
