Honestly I'm all for this. Once everyone's doing it, it's not special anymore, and the attraction wears thin. I have so many women at my work (some lesbian, some hetero) who have adopted they/them pronouns. I mean, I get it, it's a defence against being labelled 'basic', 'karen', 'cis white whatever', but god, I dread interacting with them.

Same. Once it becomes "normalized" all these genderspecials will stop being genderspecials. I guess they will latch to being "systems" aka appropriate DID and water it down into something similar to non-binary. Not related to trauma, just being born a system or some shit like that.
