If you actually do meet a trans woman that way, you can be sure in again like 99,99999% of these cases, that their biography will mention them as being a trans woman.

I have a suspicion that many of these less popular dating apps are infested with bots. Either they are farming for nudes to repost online or it's the app itself trying to create a sense that the app isn't totally dead or they are bots trying to redirect users to porn sites etc...

Here's the funny conspiracy theory. There have been many stories about how AI is "transphobic" because it doesn't recognize gender. People were all mad because AI was asked to categorize men and women and it always picks MtFs as men.

Now imagine you have an AI go through your entire user base of real profiles. Pick out all the "lesbians" in the app then generate a bunch of filler profiles for the women seeking women section. You see where I'm going with this. It's basically the meme "instructions unclear."

They are ranting about cis men in the comments. I get it, tons of creepy guys out there. But i think they are overreacting. I doubt all of them are trying to turn lesbians straight. Probably the vast majority dont pay any attention when they are creating the profile, thats why they are listed as women.

I saw "gay men" on grindr. So you could get "lesbians" too...in theory. But grindr is a pretty shitty app. I dont think there are a lot of trans listing themselves as women in other apps.
