    TQ+ also hijacked feminism. Does that mean women should've never been given rights because it's a slippery slope?

    I have read opinions that express the above opinion. In general Critical Theory fucked up every previously sensible human rights movement has managed to infiltrate and take over (gay rights,trans rights,women's rights,workers rights,racial issues etc) . Because instead of equal opportunity, Racial Theory demands special privileges at the expense of other people's rights.

    It's not just a US problem. In Ireland, people voted by a very strong majority in favour of same sex marriage, slightly earlier in 2015 than the US decision. But the Irish government brought in self-ID alongside the legislation that was voted for.

    I think other countries like Canada are worse than the US on this but the US is uniquely susceptible to money interests. The politicians don't want to accomplish anything so they use tokenism to pretend they are for their voters but it's just in language not action. Trans ideology presents as a marginalized group and is devoid of substance so it's perfect for US politicians to use as a token issue.
