That's my biggest fear seeing all the TQ insanity. Even if I am not LGB but even I worry I will be accused of being a dangerous freak.

It wasn't really gay marriage. It was the fact that after the gay marriage SCOTUS decision in the United States, the LGB leadership relaxed their hands on the reins, and the TQ+ grabbed them and screamed, "IT'S OUR TURN NOW!" These were the same people who trashed the marriage campaign as being "assimilationist."

This. However, the fact that all the formerly LGB rights groups have been colonized to serve the TQ gives the impression that the original LGB rights campaigners are behind all the current nonsense. It doesn't help that they've co-opted the rainbow flag and terms like 'Pride'.

I remember before gay marriage became legal that the center argument was sexuality is inherited and can't change.Once TQ+ took over they redefine it to"sexuality is actually fluid" and"it's possible for a lesbian to be attracted to a trans woman despite being a biological male.It was crazy seeing the amount of homophobia on reddit under the lens of trans rights.

It's an odd one. The slippery slope argument has turned out to be real. Obviously it didn't have to be, same sex marriage being a reality was not automatically going to result in what has happened in the last 8 years. But it turns out that the general public are so fucking moronic that it has been easy to convince so many people that their empathy and progressivism should be turned from being ok with allowing people in same sex relationships to live normal lives with the same protections that everyone else has. To celebrating publicly performed fetishes.

The slippery slope argument has turned out to be real.

How? You think allowing same-sex marriage actually led to the whole trans thing blowing up?

Kind of. Same sex marriage being legislated for required convincing the majority to be open minded, progressive and to let go of any lingering prejudices. In my country it was literally necessary, as the right to same sex marriage was added to our constitution through referendum. But even in countries where that wasn't necessary, it needed broad public support for a government to enact it.

Unfortunately the general public enjoyed feeling open minded and generous, on the right side of history. So they were basically primed, ready for a group like the trans lobby to take advantage of that general state of mind. It's not that same sex marriage led to this bullshit. But that getting same sex marriage took a type of crusade that huge amounts of people really enjoyed and wanted to do again. Those who opposed same sex marriage are just as responsible because they contributed to the absolute polarisation that is responsible for where we are now.
