Jesus Christ, I have to stop clicking these links, because every time I do, I go down a rabbit hole that (pardon the pun) doesn't bottom out.

Just looked at a thread where a girl is bemoaning the fact that she doesn't like anal sex, and it makes her feel like less of a gay man. Others are placating her by assuring her that lots of gay men like vaginal sex, too. I feel genuinely sorry for what's being done to these girls' minds. I know most of them are pretty young. They're all trying to force themselves into sexual activities they don't like in order to convince themselves that they're something that they're not. They're all participating in mindless hook-up culture because they think that's what they need to do to validate themselves.

Oh, and another thread where everyone is telling a girl to drop her 'cis gay' friend because they believe he doesn't see her as a man and is therefore transphobic and must be purged. It's not his community, after all, it's hers, too.

I wish I could force some of my queer-theory-immersed gay male friends to read these subreddits
