I've never liked the term 'partner'. Sounds too clinical; like, it's a romantic relationship, not a law firm.

Nevertheless, her reasoning is obviously that she feels she'll lose Woke points if her special identity can't be identified. Y'know, 'cause she's straight and all.

From his perspective (which I share) what's the point of telling people "I'm into fucking anything" if you're in a committed relationship and planning on staying in it?

Ooooh great point! This is one instance where I hope they break up. It looks like she’s getting deeper into the woke cult stuff and he may be having serious doubts about it ... or about her. Whatever it is, I don’t foresee happily ever after.

Same case here. I feel "partner" is best used when you're addressing your hired escort or friend with benefits. I notice it a lot in Australia.
