... You'll think they'll see people making those dumb lists and become self-aware about how much those words means nothing to them... it's like picking an ice cream flavor. I don't get that they don't get it

That's what mindfucks me every time I think about it. Like, I don't want to acknowledge that so many people are so dumb, my faith in Humanity can't handle that blow...but if they aren't stupid, that means they are propagating this out of pure malice which means I have to contend with the idea that 'evil' actually exists.
It's such a headache...

I think a lot of this is kids that are being confused by a lot of the rhetoric surrounding being "queer" these days.

When I was in high school, I came out as bi first because (1) I thought it would be more acceptable than being gay and (2) I was confused about my sexuality and not really sure that I was actually gay. After some self-reflection, I realized I was gay and came out as such a few months later.

I try to imagine being a high schooler now and seeing all of this different stuff and being like, "Am I asexual? No, that's not right. Maybe I'm aromantic and demisexual? Am I bi? Or gay? Oh, what's this about aceflux? Maybe that's me."

It seems very confusing and I'm not surprised that a bunch of kids are having trouble figuring it out, especially when it seems like "being straight" just isn't cool.

That's very on point. Add to that how all these identities' definitions are horribly unclear that everyone can fit them. No wonder they swap them as they find a fresh new label, it sorta fits with its muddy definition, the excitement with something new gets mistaken for finding "the correct label" and here we go.

I wish sexualities were never associated with age, "coolness" or some arbitrary personality type(positive or not). It made many who didn't associate themselves with those not realize and never identify as their actual sexuality.

I like to think that reasonably smart people simply choose not to sign up for twitter.

Anyway, follow me on twitter

I assure you that evil do exist, and you can't always explain it in a rational manner which is very annoying and terrifying, but that's just life. On the other hand, it also mean that good exist.

I believe in my heart that it's a form of self hatred that they're expressing, while trying really hard to persuade people and themselves that they are loving and compassionate. That's just a shitty disguise and also very manipulative.
