We don’t have to even call ourselves bisexual if we don’t want to

The neat thing about reality is you are something regardless of if you want to call yourself that or not.

I've known several lesbians who later got with guys. Yet when people bring it up others want to pretend it doesn't happen.

Because it doesn't happen. Those are bi women who were lying.

Brings me back to being told by a supposed lesbian that she doesn't mind a "woman's" dick but would flinch at a male one... no you're just bi.

Sounds like a woman with man-related trauma who sees trans women as a safe target for her heterosexual attraction. Similar to the straight women who lust after gay men. Not necessarily bi, just not lesbian.

She seems to have attraction to actual women too.

I was depressed by the number of people doing at least one of the following:

  • insisting that sexuality is fluid, and lesbians can "become straight"

  • not knowing what bisexuality is

  • fantasizing over "turning a lesbian straight"

  • insisting that people not use labels

Language is used to communicate meaning. When people misuse that language, it's hard for us to communicate about the fact of being same sex attracted.

Bet a bunch of these people insist they're politically liberal, too...

Hmm... OPs account was suspended. Anyway, yes there are people who want to see homosexuals "cured". Can't do anything about it,so why fret?

Yes we can, we can spread actual correct information about homosexuality. Except this sub can't because we're banned on Reddit, but people can individually.

I wanted to share this post as an example of how common and prevalent these types of opinions are. Even outside of TQ+ subreddits. It's a barometer of homophobia in 2022 (one of many).

We have spread accurate information.Yet there is a percentage of the population that simply does not believe us.And there will always be such a subgroup. Logic and facts simply does not work for people who are emotionally invested in a idea. I learned it the hard way when I was debating HIV denialists.
