I'm not sure if I could post it, but this week I have been downloading a lot of e-books from b-ok.cc to keep on my Kindle. It's a treasure trove that I recently discovered and I have so many cook books and how to draw books now... Oh yeah and crochet patterns for the new hobby I'm trying to pick up.

Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th!

(I was joking, of course, what with the whole... independence unpleasantness...)

Oh, my apologies. I have a tendency to take things far too literally. :)

OMG isn't it wonderful?? I've been downloading as much as I can almost daily and put them on my Kindle. I'm glad I can preview some books before buying much easier now, especially the cook books! On my Kindle Fire, I installed through third party websites ReadEra and Perfect Viewer to view them all. Some of the categories I have are;

  • Homestead or DIY
  • Herbalism
  • Philosophy
  • Clothing Fashion and Armor reference
  • Cooking
  • Crochet
  • Graphic Novels
  • How to Draw (Classic)
  • How to Draw (Digital or Manga)
  • History
  • Native American
  • Pose Referances

Talked to a couple more friends recently about trans ideology. I didn't mean to but the opportunity came up organically. I just stated that I didn't believe in gender identity and observed that puberty blockers cause chemical castration-- a fact that is very hushed-up in left politics. Showed them evidence, of course, including this study. They were both blown away and voiced their own doubts they'd had separately about the trans movement. Just really heartening to see.

At least one of them, maybe both, have the "pronouns in bio," too. These are well-meaning, thoughtful people, but they saw that the subject was so touchy and went with the path of least resistance and didn't voice their concerns to anyone else; I was the first person either of them had talked to about it. How crazy is it that so many people are wondering the same things, yet afraid to speak their thoughts?! This has got to stop. I'm simultaneously angry about the situation and excited to find that way more people are on board with the beliefs of this sub than I thought would be!

I understand the feeling of being afraid to voice ones thoughts, but for something so blatantly obvious I truly believe that we are experiencing 'The Emperor's New Clothing'. Most people know but choose the path of least resistance.

Looks like Lucy Masoud's account on Twitter got banned (or possibly deleted) sometime in the last 24 hours. I was looking at it just yesterday. She was one of the people who commented on the Halifax thread; maybe that's why? I was looking at it because LGB Alliance gave her a shoutout. For context, she has also contributed to Women's Place UK.

Speaking of Halifax...
