This video was notable to me because I'd never seen someone be so blatant about their reasoning for adopting this false identity. Really sad that he thinks this is the only way to move forward from the stigma and gender roles. It's confusing that he doesn't realize that by putting himself in this special third category, he's just reinforcing gender roles for the rest of us.

It's interesting to see someone who's trying to hard to be unique, yet everything about him, every gesture, every expression, every dance move . . . it's all a pastiche of stereotypical gestures, expressions, and dance moves. Everything he shows to the world is a cliché he's imported from somewhere else.

I think that's why I find the whole concept of non-binary so tedious. As others have said, we're all basically non-binary. Woop-tee-doo.

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this, lol.

I wonder if there's an equivalent among lesbians... I know a self-described lesbian IRL who talks exactly like they talk on Tumblr; that's the closest thing I can think of. I'm not even joking, she literally sounds like freaking Tumblr posts brought to life. She's nice otherwise, though, but I still don't get it lol.

I miss when gender roles were considered bad in the 90s and 2000s. Was much better than gender roles being super important and something to define your entire person by and be a lifelong medical experiment for.

Same, it wasn't perfect in the 90s and 00s, but it was way better than the shit it is now.

Shape Shifter also identifies as nby. Probably an improvement from trans though.

...I am clearly out of touch with pop culture, because I did not recognize the song at the beginning and had to look it up.

edit: Watching the part after the song. This guy has no idea how much misinformation he believes, lol. And yet he speaks with such confidence. Wish I had the brazen confidence of an ideological zealot!

"...boy and girl, man and woman, whatever you want to call it, are just outdated terms that have been extrapolated to way past what has ever been necessary, and to the point where it actually facilitates untold suffering through misogyny, homophobia, racism, and just generally colonialism."

The existence of biological sex does not cause any of those things.

The lack of critical thinking on display is amazing. It's as if he were wearing a sign on his forehead that says: "DON'T TRUST MY JUDGMENT."
