I don't know if this happened just today or anywhere this month, I didn't visit it in a long while and I wanted to check for some funny posts just now only to see that it got the axe by the admins. Oh well.

We're getting a lot of requests to join from TiA/SJiA refugees who didn't realize SaidIt, and our sub here, were still active. Any ideas how we should handle them in particular? Want me to just note them in the regular post, but also call out that they're refugees?

The 2 Kotakuinactions' is going eventually too. I don't care how safe they think they are being by removing trans posts, the AHS will still get a couple comments in and get them banned based on that. Trueoffmychest too probably.

The whole Reddit sub ban odyssey of the last few years has been like the "Then they came for me" poem. Sacrifice the extremists for safety, and a new crop of "extremists" will occupy the farthest edge of the spectrum of what is deemed acceptable, and who will have to go too once the window shifts.

That sucks. :( I'm gonna miss it there, considering that it was one of the few places on Reddit where you could actually discuss things.

But on the other side of that token, I'm not going to be upset about this excuse to just gtfo of Reddit entirely. TiA was basically the only sub that I ever went to. At least it's nice, if quiet, here.

I know! I actually just happened to be on SocialJusticeInAction reading something and I clicked on the next link and BAM. So I checked TiA and same thing.

Lol I hear you there. I was there for the banning of r/BiologicalLesbians-- same thing, was reading something, refreshed a page, BAM it's gone. A smaller sub of only like 5k-10k, but still. Sad to see.

It was only a matter of when.

Reddit has been going to shit ever since Trump got elected. Only because millions of people are on it did I ever go on there. Until I got banned on three separate accounts. Now they demand an email address to sign a new account, which I’m not going to do. So fuck Reddit. It was nice knowing them until 2017. Let them go the way of MySpace. This is an opportunity for Saidit.

Reddit doesn't actually require the email address to sign up. They make it look like it but you can just click "continue" without entering and you get to the normal anonymous creation screen. The obscufation is deliberate I'm sure.

The banning of "Lia" from swimming was obviously a step too far for the Transbots in the Reddit admin team. While the loss is palpable it really means they're running scared of the number of people being peaked.

Wow. TumblrInAction had been operating so long I thought it would last, but I guess this was a "present" for the TRAs for Pride month from the Reddit overlords.

I checked the reddit account I used to post to TIA, and it's all gone, three years of posts, vanished.

And I think TIA had over 500,000 members.

Interesting. I wouldn't expect astroturf mods to declare reddit dead. Then again, the timing seems too perfect. As if this was an attempt to get ahead of banning tumblrinaction and socialjusticeinaction to limit the discussion somewhat. I can only speculate.

I decided to take a peek into AgainstHateSubreddits, and, of course, it's the same group of ~four trans redditors who got TIA banned, a subreddit that had around 700k subscribers.

And they are griping about r/detrans again. One of them wants it banned.

It's amazing how such a small group has gained so much leverage over so many others.
