Just curious, is there a possibility that she's jewish through ancestry? Like, one of her grandparents was religiously and ethnically jewish and then converted to christianity for their spouse? Not sure if that's a thing that happens at all.

Judaism follows matrilineal descent. If her mother is Jewish, she could also be considered Jewish. It’s a possibility. However, it’s not super common. Reform Judaism (most of American Jewry) is chill with interfaith marriages. Most people either keep their faith or the non-Jewish spouse converts. (There’s some pressure not to convert out just for marriage because of all the attempts to decimate Jewish existence.)
