Oh look, another autistic bisexual who can't relate to same-sex attraction and therefore proclaims it to not exist. How original.

Hey now, this insufferable label-ista can't relate to opposite-sex attraction, either! Says outright that, like SSA, it doesn't even exist. No, according to she/her/hi/ei, "it's same-gender and opposite-gender". NONE of us are attracted to biological sex, in other words. Or, indeed, even recognize it in ourselves, since that would prevent ei's all-important ✨GENDER✨from being our sole reference point. Can't have THAT now, can we.

So it's war on the very concept of sexual orientation, basically. We're all being commanded to not only replace it with "genderal orientation" (whatever the fuck THAT is), but to pretend that this is what we've really had all along. Oh yes, I'm attracted to the color pink and the color blue! To people who played with dolls as kids, and to people who played with toy trucks! To the MYSTERIOUS GENDER-ESSENCE IN SOMEONE'S HEAD. WT ever-lovin' F.

Well, then, this epic dumbass better quit calling "eiself" bi. At least if that's short for "bisexual". Cuz that's one of those FORBIDDEN sexual orientations, dontchaknow. Here's a new label for your endless collection, "annie": "bigenderal". Sure, it looks moronic: that's because it is! So it oughtta fit ya like a glove. And ensure that you stay far, FAR away from us actual bisexuals.

Which begs the question of how could you know someone’s gender since you claim it’s something that lives in their brains and he or she may not present as their true gender.

This is something that honestly confuses me. By this logic, how do they even know who they're supposed to be attracted to?

Whoever's attracted to them of course! These people have no standards and are empty voids whose only criteria is finding someone who will fill them with the endless validation supply they crave!! ✨uWu✨

Attraction is based on sexual characteristics which are directly caused by sex in like 99.8% of humans. So yeah, sex is an observable fact about the vast majority of people and there's only a small number of people with sex developmental disorders that fall outside of the norm.

Being attracted to gender on the other hand is actually impossible since it's made up bullshit that doesn't really exist.

I see this "gotcha" repeated a lot and it's probably the stupidest one that I've ever heard. It really only works until the clothes come off.

If I happened to see a trans man that was somehow both my type and also could not be clocked as a woman (I know that I'm talking about unicorn, but let's roll with it), I'd probably experience some attraction. As soon as I find out that attractive man has a vagina, all of my attraction would be lost.

For an example that has nothing to do with being trans, let's say I see an actual man that is my type and I am attracted to him because of his looks. Before we get into bed, I talk to him for a bit and find out that he's super into decapitating kittens the moment they come out of the mother cat. He could be the hottest guy in the world, but I doubt I would find him any sort of attractive knowing that he enjoys something like that.

It's like these people don't understand that attraction based on outward physical characteristics is just one piece of a much larger puzzle that forms overall attraction to someone, and that when new puzzle pieces are added to make a more complete picture, sometimes that more complete picture is unattractive. Like if you were building a puzzle and the image looked like a bowl of chocolate ice cream, but when you finish building the puzzle, it's clearly a bowl of shit.

The way these people talk about attraction feels like it's some sort of AI trying to figure out how attraction works from a 3rd person perspective and is only understanding a small part of it because it's incapable of experiencing attraction itself.

Or people who live online and never interact with other human beings in person and therefore are missing a crucial aspect of how attraction tends to manifest in the real world. So they're living online trying to parse out different types of attraction into increasingly more esoteric categories, separating romantic and sexual orientations, and reading MasterDocs to reach some higher level of consciousness about their sexual orientation but it all remains hypothetical and totally detached from the real world. They come up with a lot of neolabels to describe themselves and then don't do anything that could prove or falsify what they come up with.

I think attraction is largely based on your assumptions of a person. When your assumption is proven wrong, it's natural to lose attraction, if you can even call it that in such an early stage.

I only like men with penises. So I am both same sex and same gender attracted. If this eejit finds that abhorrent then I'm glad I've offended him.

What does she think those male/female symbols even mean then? What is her definition of bi anyway? Why does her profile pic have acne? So many questions..

I'm so sick of seeing this. You can't know the gender of every single person you find attractive! Think you can? Define woman. Define man. Oh, it's based on self-identification?? Then same/opposite gender attraction is utterly meaningless!!!! I swear they don't know their own ideology 🤦

[–]dilsencySame-sex community 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Right? If attraction based on gender refers to the self-identification of others, then how would you ever know? You would never be able to think a stranger looks attractive at a glance.

If attraction based on gender refers to the gender role(s) that a person may perform, then isn't that borderline offensive? This person wears the woman costume imposed by society, regardless of who they are, so therefore I'm attracted to them?
