Were you a long-time subscriber of r/LGBT or r/ActualLesbians until you stood your ground that sexuality and gender identity are different? Were you called a TERF based on your user history? Did you get banned from other subs merely for being a participant here?

I've been permabanned from r/soccer, which is an odd one. The reason given was "No transphobia", here's the thing though there are two distinct possibilities: Either they banned me for comments posted in other subreddits (TiA most likely), which seems bullshit. Or the offending comment is one I made in last week's Free Talk Friday (which would be on r/soccer) where I questioned why a Conservative councillor, recently convicted for child sex offences had such an interest in pushing for gender neutral toilets in his city. Which isn't transphobic at all, a now known safeguarding risk was introducing legislation which broke down safeguarding barriers. That feels like a pretty legitimate connection to make

I should probably mention an effect of reddit's relatively recently modified blocking feature. Basically, if you're the op of a topic or commented in a thread and you block a user, they can't make new comments in those topics or threads. So you can make a last response to them and then prevent them from ever properly replying to you. They can only reply by editing their own comment. So essentially, this allows a user to moderate their own topics/threads in a sense.

Anyway, it's pretty stupid and I can imagine it being used to create mini echo chambers on contentious subs like AGB. But just keep in mind that it's a double edged sword, and anyone who abuses such a feature can be subjected to it at the same time.
