it's probably hard to understand if you aren't ace

It's hard to understand if you have a functioning brain that isn't inundated with post modernist bullshit. Could you guys please quit being so stupid and pretentious? I know it must be very hard for you, but please try your very hardest.

Also they're 13 year olds who were crushing on a boy band the whole movie

This right here. These people are basically prepubescent children who haven't experienced sexual attraction yet and think having friends is a sexuality. Then you have a structure of academics seeking validation for their useless college major and they find it among the terminally online children.

Lol I just have to say, this is worded perfectly and I wholly agree this is what's going on

When your life is so boring you have to pathologize normal stuff like friendship.

Like being married without the sex or romance? Sharing your life together? Bitch that is romance!

These people are no better than conservative historians who are all like, "OMG they were roommates!!!" every time they see a historical gay figure

Haven't seen the movie yet but all the annoying ass things I've seen about it make me want to steer clear. Of course the first female team would make a story about periods and boybands. My eyes can't roll far back enough in my head.

Apparently it is also sexualizing girls which just figures. I want to see it so I can judge it accurately but it is difficult without exposing my 2 year old.

How is this film helping any causes? Sorry if my post is a bit off topic but I feel forcing kids into any sexual orientation is just WRONG!

The transformation angle is interesting but I have yet to see the trans "embrace the bear" lol.

I have seen it. It is more of a coming of age story about accepting themselves as they are despite a parents overbearing tendencies. I guess you can say it relates to coming into womanhood but the period allegory if there was one was barely noticeable. The movie is fine for kids and doesn’t have any sort of brainwashing from what I saw.

They try too hard. But on the other hand no wonder why every second account I see on Twitter is some flavor of "queer". You're more unique being just straight and not trans than kweer. I always wondered how these people don't have cognitive dissonance as they observe the same. I really doubt these quirky kweer people don't see it - maybe they convince themselves that they're just in some queer circle?
