I didn't know that. Is it because clinical trials didn't sufficiently include women/dismissed women's side effects, or is it specifically made for men?

Not the poster you're replying to (nor am I a medical professional), but if I had to guess, it would be that it has the potential to reduce bone density, and women are already at greater baseline risk for osteoporosis than men.

It was made for men because men are the vast, vast majority of HIV patients in the U.S.

Lol no worries. A drug for women should be developed as well. Africa especially really needs it (HIV is closer to 50/50 males and females there) but you know... money :(
